BANANA & HONEY TREATS
Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 bananas, mashed
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
4 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1. Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets.
2. Combine water, mashed bananas, honey, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl.
3. Stir in whole-wheat flour and baking powder.
4. Beat dough with an electric mixer on medium speed until ingredients are thoroughly combined, 1-2 minutes.
5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until no longer sticky, 5-8 minutes.
6. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out shapes with your favorite cookie cutter.
7. Place dough shapes on prepared baking sheets.
8. Bake at 350 degrees until cookies are lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
9. Turn off oven and leave treats until thoroughly dry and crisp, 30-40 more minutes.
10. Remove baking sheets from oven and let cookies cool for another 10 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to fully cool.
