LOW FAT CARROT TREATS
Ingredients:
1 medium banana (ripe)
1 cup shredded carrots ( you can shred your own carrots or buy them already shredded)
1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice
1/8 cup water ( maybe more, as needed)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Sprinkle a little flour onto the surface you're planning to use to roll out the dough.
In a medium bowl, mash up the banana and mix in the shredded carrots. To the carrot and banana, add the water and apple juice.
Stir. Next, add the flour and rolled oats. Stir all of the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined.
Knead the mixture and roll out the dough on lightly floured surface, until it's about 1/2" thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutter and place onto lightly sprayed baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Cool before serving. If your dog likes a crunchier treat turn off the oven and let the treats cool there overnight.
