BLUEBERRY BANANA TREATS
Ingredients:
1/4 cup blueberries
1 small banana
1/2 cup milk
2/3 cup rolled oats
1 1/4 cup rye flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Peel and slice the banana.
Place the banana, blueberries and milk in a blender.
Blend until smooth. Pour into medium bowl.
Add rolled oats and rye flour. Stir until thoroughly combined.
Drop rounded balls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 16 minutes.
They will be crispy and browned on the outside.
Using a 1" cookie dropper, makes about 20 treats.
Note: The texture of these dog treats is quite soft, more like a crispy muffin than a hard dog biscuit. Great choice for puppies and senior dogs. You can easily make these treats harder if you would like. Once you turn off the oven, leave them there overnight.
Store these dog treats one week in a dog treat jar and 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator. They will last 2 months in the freezer.
